COVID-19 Vaccines: Everything You Need to Know (but were too afraid to ask)

As COVID-19 vaccines start to become more widely available, many of us have questions around the safety of these vaccines, the differences between various options (eg, Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, etc.), the length of their efficacy, timing and distribution, widespread availability, and what to expect after receiving the vaccination.

This session presents a unique opportunity to pose questions to a renowned expert in the medical field: Dr. Deborah Krakow, Professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, as well as Professor of Human Genetics, Pediatrics and Orthopaedic Surgery.

During this interactive discussion, community members can draw on Dr. Krakow’s extensive experience in working with patients with genetic disorders to explain important concepts in the fight against COVID-19, including mRNA vaccines, as well as her startling research that has the potential to address some of the lingering health issues facing those who have previously contracted the virus.
